Do you love Minnesota climbing? Do you have a knack for event planning, non-profit management, finance, or land stewardship? Maybe you’re just that volunteering CHAMP that loves community, fun, and connecting people together. Take the next step and consider serving your community on our Board of Directors!
Serving on the Board of the Minnesota Climbers Association requires active participation, teamwork, collaboration and patience. It’s an amazing way to give back to your local climbing community and to become engaged in new ways. YOU can make things happen.
The Board is a three year commitment at which time you may be eligible to renew your position for another three years, if desired. The Minnesota Climbers Association is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization made up of members and volunteers dedicated to preserving Minnesota climbing. We advocate access for climbers by encouraging responsible practices, promoting conservation and stewardship of private and publicly held lands, as well as fostering communication and awareness of the sport to the public.
Whether we’re organizing re-bolting routes to keep them safe, hosting Adopt-A-Crag cleanup events, working with land managers to protect and expand access to Minnesota climbing areas, farming ice for the Sandstone Ice Festival, or providing resources and information, we’re here to support Minnesota climbers and climbing.
The MCA is evolving in new ways to better serve the climbing community. We encourage applicants from all over the state, and welcome new ideas and efforts to strengthen this organization and the community it serves.
