Board Elections

Our 2023 elections have come to a close. Below is some info about the MCA board and elections to reference for future elections. A member-voted board is new to the MCA in 2022 (New bylaws).

Serving on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Climbers Association provides an opportunity to shape our local climbing community. Serving on the Board requires active participation, and is a rewarding way to serve our community.

The Minnesota Climbers Association is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization made up of members and volunteers dedicated to preserving Minnesota climbing. We advocate access for climbers by encouraging responsible practices, promoting conservation and stewardship of private and publicly held lands, as well as fostering communication and awareness of the sport to the public.

Whether we’re organising rebolting of routes, hosting Adopt-A-Crag cleanup events, working with land managers to protect and expand access to Minnesota climbing areas, farming ice at one of the US’s biggest ice parks, or providing resources and information, we’re here to support Minnesota climbers and climbing.

Thank you for your participation in the 2023 MCA board member elections! All of the board applicants below have been elected to the board, in addition to our current board members. New members positions will begin August 5th.

In the coming weeks we will update our website with bios for all board members as well as make some social media posts with info on the new members. We look forward to having our new board members join us!

Important Dates

  • Application Deadline — July 13th, 2023

  • Public Posting — July 14th to July 18th

  • MCA Membership Voting — July 19th to July 28th, 2023

  • Board Positions Begin — August 5th, 2023

Additional Notes

  • We will be filling up to six (6) seats to bring the board to eleven (11) members.

  • Applicants will be posted online after application deadline
